Saint Bernard
The Story Behind the Breed
The Saint Bernard was bred by monks of the Great St. Bernard Hospice in the Swiss Alps beginning around 1660. Over two centuries credited with saving more than 2,000 lives. Massive in frame and enormous in heart — patient, calm, unfailingly gentle.
"Mighty. Majestic. Made of pure kindness."
✏️ This drawing was made by hand by Catherine, age 10, in Texas. Every line, every color — drawn from her love of dogs. Blondie Boy approves. 🐾
