Great Pyrenees
The Story Behind the Breed
The Great Pyrenees is one of the oldest breeds on earth, with fossil evidence dating to 3000 BC. Louis XIV declared them the Royal Dog of France. Their true work was always on the mountain: standing alone in the snow, guarding sheep through the night against wolves and bears.
"Majestic. Mellow. Mountain-born."
