Olde English Bulldogge
The Story Behind the Breed
The Olde English Bulldogge was developed in the 1970s by David Leavitt, who wanted to recreate the athletic working bulldogs of 18th-century England before the breed was softened into the modern English Bulldog. Crossed from English Bulldogs, American Pit Bull Terriers, American Bulldogs, and Mastiffs, the result is a dog with the look and heart of the original bulldog — muscular, agile, and breathing much better. Less wrinkle, more muscle. Same devotion.
"Sturdy. Sweet. Surprisingly athletic."
