The Story Behind the Breed
The Border Collie was developed along the border of Scotland and England for one purpose: to herd sheep better than any dog alive. The most famous ancestor, Old Hemp, was born in 1893 and was so good that nearly every Border Collie alive today traces back to him. They can learn a new command in under five repetitions. They will also learn how to open your refrigerator if you don't give them something else to do.
